Ernie Rock
03:29
|
|||
Ernie wasn't old when he picked up guitar
He and his friend Barry wanted to be rock and roll stars
Ernie liked to rock, while Barry liked to roll
It wasn't long before they played their very first show
Ernie, Ernie
Ernie liked to rock with the rock and roll rockers
Barry, Barry
Barry liked to roll with the rock and roll rollers
Ernie and Barry thought they’d found their new sound
They joined the style of folk blues with a thrash metal pound
When playing at their gig they blew the whole town away
The music and the beer was what made everybody stay (and say)
Ernie, Ernie
Ernie liked to crash with the folk and blues thrashers
Barry, Barry
Barry liked to thrash with the jammy blue dodgers

Let Me Go
02:29
|
|||
I can't see you smiling, all you do is frown at me.
All you speak is rubbish and the poison's setting in.
You're driving me insane, you've stabbed me in the back,
People think you're all that but there's so much that you lack.
Hurtful, Pessimistic
These words describe you!
Evil, Manipulation
What can I do?
Controlling, Self-Centered
These things are you.
Won't you let me go?
People only see you when you're putting on a show,
Your kindheartedness is fake just like that luvy duvy glow.
They only see the light side, but I can see the dark.
Your positives are negatives and we have lost the spark.
Hurtful, Pessimistic
These words describe you!
Evil, Manipulation
What can I do?
Controlling, Self-Centered
These things are you.
Won't you let me go?

Don't Die (Your Hair)
02:36
|
|||
DON’T DIE – Your hairs not worth dying over,
And your colour clashing clothes ain’t worth it either.
DON’T LIE – You suck the truth up your aspersion Hoover,
And continue to mock my style, calling me a loser.
DON’T DIE – your hair looks amazing,
And if it’s quite alright I’d like to take a clipping…before you –
DIE – your hair a different colour,
You should find yourself another lover.
I use Jaffa Cakes liquidized with carrot flakes,
That’s how I give my hair all its chroma.
I don’t need your approval for the way I look or dress,
Take a short walk off the end of my bed or a long fall down the stairs.
DON’T DIE – your hair looks amazing,
And if it’s quite alright I’d like to take a clipping…before you –
DIE – your hair a different colour,
You should find yourself another lover.
I dislike you but I don’t hate you,
I’ll fight but I won’t kill you,
I hate but don’t dislike you,
And I’ll kill you if I fight you…
I’m really rather confused, about my thoughts and views
But I’d rather that you die than die your hair…

Demands
03:29
|
|||
I'm being held against my will, I didn't ask to be here.
I'm being forced to write this song and you've no choice but to hear -
Me singing badly and lamenting oh so sadly,
Till you get the memo, that I'm in peril,
And they will not release me till you -
Meet their demands, or somehow foil their plans...
They want ice-cream in wafer cones,
They want laptops, new mobile phones,
They want an elephant in a tuxedo and a monkey singing no-one knows.
They want satellite and Sky TV,
Reasonable pricing in HMV,
Curiously Cinnamon back to Cinnamon Grahams,
And you better not fail to meet their demands...
They're getting angry at me, and finding it rather hard to see,
It's hard to write under pressure, don't want to be here forever till I -
Die, I will not lie,my time here's been entertaining for a while,
but now I'm tired, my creative flow has expired.
Please meet their demands, or somehow foil their plans...
"We want a monkey singing no one knows"
"We want ice-cream in wafer cones"
They want to be noticed, they want to be loved.
Someone to tuck them in at night, someone to give them a hug.
Just give the poor thugs what they want, it's really not that much.
Then I'll be free and you will see I'm worth an awful lot...
"We want an elephant in a tuxedo"
"We want satellite and Sky TV"

Psalm 102
03:58
|
|||
My heart is sick, I will not eat,
Skin and bones, I lie awake.
Life goes on, it's never long,
Moving swiftly as the evening shadows.
I wish and pray that I could see,
If there's hope for Job, there's hope for me.
Please oh Lord, come rescue me,
Help me God, I'm on my knees.
Lord, hear my prayer, listen to my plea,
In my time of sorrow, don't turn away from me.
Answer me quickly; I can't seem to cope,
For my bones burn like fire and the days fade into smoke.
Don’t take my life, as long as I’m young!
Don’t break my strength, before my song is sung!
I tried to escape but there was nowhere to run!
Rescue me now Lord, before my days are done!

Lyrics:
I'm paying for my ways,
and how I spent my days.
Upon this earth,
couldn't give a damn about a poor mans worth.
I was rich beyond my dreams,
while others suffered in the streets.
Now I'm dead and the tables are turned,
he's up there while my soul just burns.
I'm feeling a little lost,
even in this box.
Not much room to move,
and nothing left to lose.
I can see now that this is my death,
not long now, just eternity left.
I listen for a sound,
try to scream and shout.
Nothing here can reach my ears,
not my own voice, just alone with my fears.
And I try to feel around,
look for a way out.
No escape within invisible walls,
No one around to hear my calls.
Please, won't you set me free?
This isn't where I wanna be.
Let me warn my sons,
tell them of what's to come.
"Can't you see this is what you get?
Not long now just eternity left."
Well now I can see and I wanna be free,
now I believe won't you let me out please?
It's darker than dark and colder than cold.
"I'm sorry my son but your soul is sold.
Where did you go when I needed some clothes?
And where did you go when I needed a home?
You never were there when I needed some food
or some water or warmth or shelter from the storm!
Sorry, my friend to put a hole in your boat,
but now is the time to part the sheep from the goats.
I've done all I can and forever loved you too,
You may think you know me but I don't know you!"

Wayfaring Stranger
03:21
|
|||
I am a poor wayfaring stranger
Traveling through a world of woe
Ain't no sickness, toil, nor danger
In that bright land to which I go
I'm goin' there to see my father
Said he'd meet me when I come
I'm only goin' over Jordan
I'm only goin' over home
I know dark clouds gonna gather 'round me
I know my way'll be rough and steep
Yet beautiful fields lye just before me
Where God's redeemed their vigils keep
I'm goin' there to see my loved ones
Gone before me one by one
I'm only goin' over Jordan
I'm only goin' over home
I'll soon be free from earthly trials
This body rest in the ol' churchyard
I'll drop this cross of self-denial
And go singing home to God
I'm goin' there to see my savior
To dwell with him no more to roam
I'm only goin' over Jordan
I'm only goin' over home
I'm only goin' over home
